More than one hundred tons of black gold were reportedly spilled into the water. A major oil spill occurred in the Black Sea, near the Russian port city of Novorossiysk, in the southwest of the country, warned The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Wednesday August 11.

In the process, the Russian authorities announced an investigation for pollution. The general prosecutor’s office assured that an inspection of the coast had been organized to give a “Objective assessment” of the disaster scale. There are several seaside resorts in this region, which are very popular among Russian tourists.

The leak took place last weekend, at the Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka terminal, not far from Novorossiysk, during the loading of the tanker Minerva Symphony, under the Greek flag. On Monday, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which brings oil from the Caspian Sea to Novorossiysk and controls this terminal, announced that around twelve cubic meters of oil had been spilled over an area of 200 square meters. .

“The situation has returned to normal”, Sunday morning, and does not threaten the population or the environment, said the Consortium, owned in particular by the Russian oil giant Rosneft, the American group Chevron and the Italian company Eni. However, the WWF assured, Wednesday, that the leak was much larger and could seriously impact the environment.

“No objective information”

According to the NGO, which has set up its own monitoring system for ecological disasters, the oil slick had spread on Sunday over an area of 94 square kilometers. This means that“At least a hundred tons of oil and probably even more” sank in the Black Sea, WWF said in a statement on Facebook. “Despite an operational deployment of rescuers, oil has spread over a colossal area”, he assured, warning against risks “Increased” negative impact on marine animals.

According to Alexei Knijnikov, an expert from the Russian branch of the WWF, the oil slick was drifting north, already reaching the village of Abraou-Diourso, known for its beaches and vineyards, and could reach the Utrish nature reserve. “We can say that there is no objective information on the scale of the leak from the regulatory authorities”, did he declare.

The Russian Institute for Space Research at the Russian Academy of Sciences has also announced monitoring this pollution, estimating – satellite images to support – that the oil slick was spread over about 80 square kilometers.

“If this information corresponds to reality, fish resources, birds and marine ecosystems in the area of the leak will be threatened”, reacted the non-governmental organization (NGO) Greenpeace, in a statement. “The health of people, including tourists, who will end up in the pollution zone, is also in danger”, she warned.

For its part, the Utrish dolphinarium, located near the seaside resort of Anapa, said on Wednesday that it had detected oil stains on the surface of the water nearby. “When you put your hands in water, your skin is covered with a fatty layer”, he wrote in a statement on Instagram.

In the afternoon, the Russian authorities ensured that the situation was closely monitored. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko ordered the Russian Environmental Monitoring Agency (Rosprirodnadzor) to give its assessment of the disaster, the latter also committing to assess the damage caused. For his part, the Minister of Energy, Nikolai Chulguinov, spoke with the CEO of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Nikolai Gorban, stressing the need to “Check the information on the scale of the leak”.

ALBA – “I’m fine, I’m fucked.” – one of the most sought-after Czech rappers of today, Nik Tendo, announces this with the name of his novelty. The representative of the Pardubice label Milion + continues in the path of shorter recordings, last year he released two. At that time, he reached the first place with the separate digital actions “Restart” and “Lunazar”, as well as the subsequent physical set of both. The current mini-album also counts eight items and starts at the top of the charts. Billie Eilish has won with her second studio film “Happier Than Ever” in many countries, in the USA even with almost a quarter of a million points, but in our country she has to settle for second place. He will have a chance to follow the lead of the highlighted debut in the next rounds. On the music server, we praised her efforts with the title Album of the Week and we are also preparing a macro review. Another of the popular teenagers follows at number three – Olivia Rodrigo recorded the medal result of her debut “Sour” in her eleventh week. Måneskin, on the other hand, did not fit into the elite trio this time, and with “Teatro d’Ira – Vol. I” they harvest imaginary potatoes. Viktor Sheen has his two regulars “Colors” and “Black and White World” arranged in a row on the top five and the top six. Behind him are Robin Zoot, The Weeknd, Dollar Prync and Maniak in conjunction with DJ Wich. Another novelty fit in the top 100. Given the popularity Prince has enjoyed and still enjoys in our country, it may come as a surprise that his posthumous album “Welcome 2 America” starts in ninety-second place.

EA boxing club barrack behind a railway underpass smeared with graffiti in Frankfurt’s no-man’s-land – no, it’s not exactly a natural CDU biotope.

On the contrary, everything screams “SPD election campaign location” when you look around the overgrown, lonely area at the former freight yard. There in the unadorned barracks of the “boxing and table tennis camp Frankfurt-Gallus”, in front of which a handful of TV teams and a bunch of reporters are lounging in the sun this morning, according to the club website, disadvantaged young people usually learn “themselves to have control of oneself instead of being violent ”.

When a few deep black limousines finally approached at 10:32 am on a battered lane through the underpass, the small convoy looks strangely staged, like a scene from the Frankfurt “crime scene”. As if a clan boss and entourage rushed up to meet in a remote location with the competition to agree on territory.

But from one of the polished Audi sedans only a demonstratively good-humored, beaming Armin Laschet (CDU) peeled off. He chose a blue suit for the appointment, but casually without a tie.

Without further ado, the Union’s candidate for chancellor explains to the waiting journalists why he had come from Düsseldorf specifically to join his Bundestag election campaign in the socially deprived area of Gallus, of all places. “Those are my old topics! Youth! Integration! Opportunities for advancement! ”He rattles off. “And secondly, there is fighting here!”

So that’s what it’s all about, the great symbolism: Armin Laschet, carer and fighter. The man who gets into the boxing ring six and a half weeks before the general election and wants to show what he’s made of. Who wants to punch his way through and can also deal with it, knowing where it hurts the opponent. And with all of this, he always has a heart for the disadvantaged in this society.

In Gallus, the former Frankfurt Galgenviertel, Laschet would like to show how much he cares about topics such as integration, education and equal opportunities – at least as much as the SPD.

Get out of the sleeping car

Whether he will penetrate with this message remains to be seen. But that he could indeed benefit a lot from a huge portion of will to fight, no one will deny that. For weeks, Laschet has been scolded for being too cautious and wanting to roll into the chancellery in a sleeping car – even in his own camp.

He avoids clear positions, so the criticism, and evades election campaigns and arguments. CSU boss Markus Söder is also constantly putting pinpricks, and so far Laschet simply did not want to come up with a right defense against all of this.

Now, just this morning, a new Forsa survey appeared, and it is in no way inclined to instill confidence in the candidate for the Chancellery. Not only that the CDU / CSU has slumped further in the voter survey, from 26 to a disgraceful 23 percent.

The Union is now only three points ahead of the recently unchanged Greens and four ahead of the SPD, which in turn gained three points. Above all, however, the personal, already weak popularity ratings of the Rhinelander and CDU federal chairman have once again rushed down.

SPD increases – Union sinks to 23 percent

In a recent Forsa survey, the Union is clearly losing popularity, while the SPD can improve. In the Chancellor preference, SPD candidate Olaf Scholz added five percentage points.

If the Federal Chancellor were directly elected by the people, then SPD candidate Olaf Scholz would get a whopping 26 percent, five points more than a week ago. Laschet, on the other hand, lost another three points and is now twelve percent. It is hardly consoling that Green competitor Annalena Baerbock has not been able to score for a long time and recently also lost two more points.

Because despite everything, 16 percent would still choose Baerbock; So Laschet is at the very back. Even the supporters of the CDU / CSU are, if you believe Forsa, not very happy about their chancellor personnel offer: According to the survey institute, only 39 percent of the Union supporters would currently elect the CDU boss directly as chancellor. And allegedly, of the Union voters who voted for the Union in 2017, only 24 percent would tick Laschet.

“You can learn a lot from boxing”

These are of course all setbacks in order to stick to the imagery, and Laschet is now planning the counterattack that many in his party have longed for. At least that’s the subtext this morning. “What do you actually need bandages for?” He asks when chatting with the young people about boxing. “To avoid injuries,” a blond teenager explains to him.

The candidate now wants to put on such bandages and drive the opponent in front of him. “You can learn a lot in boxing with clear rules and commitment,” he says.

After putting on his boxing gloves for a few seconds in order to produce the hoped-for, symbolic photos, he says it is high time “to come to a political election campaign”. So it should no longer be about copied book passages or laughs in the flood disaster area.

In an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”, Laschet had promised that the Union’s election campaign would really pick up speed. When asked whether quick speeches and a tough election campaign could be expected from him soon, he replied: “Yes! I’m really looking forward to these speeches. ”

But there are no speeches scheduled in Frankfurt, not to mention quick speeches. After all, it is only a stripped-down catch-up date because the originally planned three-day tour to kick off the election campaign through the German southwest had to be canceled due to the flood crisis management.

Actually, Laschet had wanted to travel on to Baden-Württemberg, but that was also canceled, now it’s Dresden’s turn. But he didn’t want to do without Frankfurt and the appointment at the boxing camp: “I’m happy that I can start my election campaign here,” he says. “This is exactly the right place, this is where integration is lived.”

Young people have the chance to move forward on their own and make a contribution to society. “That can only be done through the German language,” says the Christian Democrat, who is particularly impressed by the fact that only German is spoken at the Gallus Box Camp.

He wanted to enforce that in the future in kindergarten, at the age of three, “language proficiency tests” are made. This must become mandatory nationwide so that every child can get language training in kindergarten if necessary. “This is the only way for a child to have the same starting opportunities as everyone else when they start elementary school.”

All efforts should be directed towards advancing vaccination.

Cryptocurrency exchanges are increasingly the target of cybercriminals. Poly Network, a cryptocurrency exchange protocol, including bitcoin, announced on Tuesday that it had been hacked, resulting in the loss of more than $ 600 million. This hack is believed to be the biggest fraud in the history of “decentralized finance”, or DeFi. In a letter published on Twitter, the company urged the thieves to “establish a communication and return the pirated assets”, before asking the various partner exchanges to block all the funds which were taken. The market has remained stable despite the news.

Hackers steal over $ 600 million Poly Network

A blockchain is a register of activities on which various cryptocurrencies are based. Each digital currency has its own blockchain and they are different from each other. However, Poly Network claims to be able to make these different blockchains work with each other. Poly Network is a decentralized finance platform (DeFi) and allows tokens to be exchanged between different blockchains. The founder of the Chinese blockchain project Neo launched Poly Network in partnership with Ontology and Switcheo. On Tuesday, hackers took just over $ 600 million from Poly Network.

Analysts see hacking as the biggest decentralized finance security hole in history. Following the attack, Poly Network posted on Twitter the cryptocurrency addresses to which the funds were transferred and asked digital asset exchanges and miners to block any tokens from those addresses. The Poly Network team also pledged legal action and asked the hackers to return the stolen assets. Paul Adroino, technical director of Tether – a stablecoin – said on Twitter that Tether froze around $ 33 million in response to the hack.

The amount of money you have pirate is one of the largest in DeFi history. Law enforcement in any country will consider this a major economic crime and you will be prosecuted. The money you have drob comes from [sic] tens of thousands of cryptocurrency community members, so people, Poly Network wrote in its Twitter letter. Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange said Binance is coordinating with all of its security partners to proactively help, but there are no guarantees.

In addition, about an hour after the announcement of the hack by Poly Network, the hackers attempted to transfer the stolen assets through the Ethereum address in Curve.fi, but the transaction was blocked. The hackers reportedly kept trying for about 20-30 minutes before an anonymous user sent them a message on the blockchain that Tether had been blocked. The user reportedly told the hackers to try to deposit the stolen tokens without using Tether, which they did successfully. The hackers then reportedly sent the anonymous user about $ 45,000 worth of ether as a thank you for his help.

Poly Network said a preliminary investigation revealed that a hacker had exploited a “vulnerability between contract calls.” About $ 267 million in Ether currency was taken, $ 252 million in Binance coins and about $ 85 million in USDC tokens. Just over $ 600 million was taken away by hackers. SlowMist, which specializes in securing blockchain-based networks, said its researchers had seized the attacker’s mailbox, IP and device fingerprints and were tracking down clues. Possible identities read Poly Network attacker.

The market was not significantly impacted. Ether was down 1.57% and bitcoin was down 1.9%, hours after Poly Network announced the hack. surprisingly, the market has not been affected much, despite the $ 600 million operating, which is quite significant, said Michael Tant, business analyst at Inside. I think this is indicative of the market in which we are. DeFi has survived so many hacks and individual exploits that people are less afraid of their assets going to zero because of it, he added.

SlowMist researchers concluded that the theft was likely a long-planned, planned and prepared attack. In addition, DeFi has become a key target for attacks. According to cryptocurrency compliance firm CipherTrace, since the start of the year, through July, DeFi-related hacks totaled $ 361 million – an increase of nearly three times over the total. year 2020. DeFi-related fraud is also on the rise. During the first seven months of the year, they represented 54% of the total volume of cryptocurrency fraud against 3% for the whole of last year.

Some known problems of decentralized finance (DeFi)

DeFi is a generic term for a variety of financial applications and projects in the public space of blockchain aimed at disrupting the traditional financial world. These apps seek to eliminate middlemen, like brokers and exchanges, and are built on smart contracts. These are automatic execution agreements that do not need any intermediaries to be executed and to which anyone with an Internet connection can have access. In addition, DeFi consists of peer-to-peer applications and protocols developed on decentralized blockchain networks.

They do not require any right of access to facilitate the lending, borrowing or trading of financial tools. For example, DeFi apps such as Compound, Aave, Curve or Yearn now allow users to lock their funds into their smart contracts. Users can then lend, borrow or simply let their funds increase in value through various financial mechanisms. According to analysts, one only needs to visit some of these websites to see that average annual returns often vary between 5% and 50%, depending on the underlying assets.

These numbers are impressive; they are terrifying for the traditional financial system which will simply never be able to generate such returns. Decentralized finance is extremely liquid, highly composable, and fully digital, reducing operating costs to pennies. Once a development team has created a product, they don’t need to set up agencies around the world or allocate a marketing budget. Users get the best bang for their buck because intermediaries are essentially out of the equation.

In a recent cryptocurrency report, Bank of America wrote that DeFi was potentially more disruptive than Bitcoin itself. However, although it is considered to be one (if not) of the most successful use cases to date, there are still many challenges facing DeFi, mainly platform security and upgrade issues. the scale. DeFi is believed to have been a victim of its own success. Most DeFi applications today are built on the Ethereum blockchain. In other words, almost all DeFi transactions take place over this network.

Each of these transactions quotes a certain amount of ETH, Ethereum’s native cryptocurrency, to be settled on the blockchain. Due to the growing popularity of DeFi in 2020, transaction costs have risen sharply in recent months, meaning simple transactions can cost up to $ 20 and complicated interactions with smart contracts up to $ 200. . Moreover, with DeFi, the user experience is notoriously complex and understanding how to interact with the various DeFi protocols is not a skill that everyone can master.

This leads many industry insiders to believe that DeFi protocols are not ready for adoption worldwide. In addition, currently, DeFi is hitting a wall it has never been able to avoid: scalability. Blockchain technology requires that every transaction be made public and recorded on the network. This limits the number of transactions that can be performed at any one time. This ensures network security, but at a cost. According to experts, the future of DeFi is on several blockchains and projects built to be adaptable will have an advantage in an environment that changes so quickly.

Interoperability in decentralized finance can be linked to interoperability between computer operating systems. By building apps that run on Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, or Linux, businesses ensure they have access to the greatest number of potential users. Even if the overall cost of development increases, it would be a very profitable investment.

To decentralize finance is above all to offer equal opportunities to billions of dollars’ funds and ordinary humans. Today, the majority of the world is losing money in an economic landscape dominated by inflation. But it does not have to be so, the reinvention of the financial sector is already underway, click after click, some experts say.

To benefit from the impatriate regime, you must not have resided in France for five years, and be domiciled there for tax purposes. His advantages ? A flat-rate exemption from income tax of up to 30% of net salary.

The wealth tax having disappeared since the start of Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term, the exemption provided for by this statute is transferred to his successor, the IFI (tax on real estate wealth). But Messi is unlikely to be subject to it, as sportsmen have little interest in acquiring property in a country where they will only spend a short part of their career.

On the other hand, the impatriate regime also provides for a halving of the tax payable on image rights, which commonly represent the equivalent of the salary for football stars. The French tax authorities could be all the more attentive on the subject since Lionel Messi has already had to deal with justice on this subject: in 2016 and 2017, he was convicted in Spain with his father, for a tax fraud relating to 4, 16 million euros in image rights irregularities. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison (turned into a fine) and a fine of 2.1 million euros. And his name appears again in the “Panama Papers” in 2018 and in the “Football Leaks” in 2019.

Behind the financial and media auction, a good deal for state coffers? The signing by Lionel Messi on Tuesday, August 10, of a two-year contract at PSG – with an additional year as an option – is expected to bring in tens of millions of euros to the French tax authorities. And this, despite the very advantageous tax status of “expatriates”.

In Rome, on July 21, 2021, at the ESA ESRIN (European Space Research Institute) headquarters in Frascati, Avio CEO Giulio Ranzo and ESA Space Transportation Director Daniel Neuenschwander signed a contract worth EUR 118.8 million ensuring the continuation of the European rocket program Vega carrier after 2025.

Produced by the Italian company Avio Vega, it allows one and a half tons of cargo to be carried into a low orbit around the Earth. For this reason, it performs well in carrying small and light satellites, e.g. meteorological or earth observation.

All these rockets take off from the spaceport in French Guiana, from the ELV launcher (fr. Vega Launch Kit). In the first three stages, solid propellant – HTPB – is used as propellant, while in the upper – liquid propellant.

The new agreement is a kind of step forward and thus marks the beginning of the next stage in terms of work on the new three-stage variant, which will be called Vega-E. It is supposed to make extensive use of the design elements of the earlier four-stage rocket, which was called the Vega-C.

This is where the first two stages will come from, using engines powered by solid propellant: P120C and Zefiro-40. The first launch of the new carrier system was initially planned for 2022. The aim of the Vega-E project is to increase the competitiveness and efficiency in relation to other carrier systems, through, inter alia, reducing the cost of bringing loads into orbit.

An extremely important element to achieve the above-mentioned goals is the use of new technologies to design a completely new upper stage of the rocket, equipped with an engine that can be called the core of the Vega E’s development. It is a completely new M10 third stage cryogenic engine, which will be powered by liquid oxygen and methane , which will help to reduce the environmental impact of the launcher. The engine design is a result of the cooperation between Avio and the Russian Chemical Automation Design Office (KBKhA), which ended in 2014.

According to the information on the official ESA website, industrial enterprises and universities from eleven countries are involved in the preparation of the Vega-E system. The first ground-based static tests of the M10 engine are expected to take place in 2024 and the first Vega-E flight in 2025.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3Design and ergonomics

From the outset, there are two important things to know about the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and more generally about foldable smartphones in clamshell format. First of all, the phone isn’t aimed at the same audience at all as the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is very focused on productivity and the comfort of a large tablet screen. Second, you have to hang on to the concept to appreciate it. Indeed, if you do not think you will derive any pleasure from closing the phone after using it, this product is most certainly not for you. You have been warned.

If these caveats don’t cool you off, then chances are the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will catch your eye. He fully assumes his DNA fashion which seeks to seduce the general public – while the Fold rather courted the technophiles. We have a subtly revamped aesthetic with straighter and more angular finishes than on the first Z Flip and thinner borders around the internal foldable screen.

This gives it a more modern look which I particularly liked.

This impression is reinforced by the rather wide black band which frames the external screen of the phone to give a two-tone look to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and which goes well with the plethora of colors available for this product. The grip comfort is for its part guaranteed by the contained weight of 183 grams and the small size of the smartphone in its folded form – a 72.2 x 86.4 x 17.1 mm pebble easy to store in the pocket.

Moreover, the effort made by Samsung to improve the robustness of the phone is a big bonus compared to last year. Not only does the smartphone finally become waterproof with an IPX8 certification (these are the first folding with the Fold 3 to benefit from it), but we also benefit from Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front and back associated with a frame and a hinge made of reinforced aluminum.

The hinge of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 // Source: Frandroid

The most palpable progress in terms of durability lies in the internal screen which sees its protective plastic film become 80% more resistant. I tried to leave a mark with my thumbnail without going with the back of the dead hand (I know that’s the wrong expression, eh). One, two, three attempts, all unsuccessful and therefore rather reassuring. We obviously advise you to be careful, but this guarantee of quality is very good to take.

Another very important point: the clap when closing the phone is still as satisfying to hear.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3Screens

For screens, know that the internal panel offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + definition and an adaptive 120 Hz mode for good fluidity. Nothing really surprising here. For a real interesting novelty, you have to look at the side of the external screen.

This one grows compared to the previous generation to reach 1.9 inches (against 1.1 inches previously). It seems quite anecdotal presented like this, but the difference is really felt. Notifications, incoming messages, music control and weather forecasting… All the small features offered by this display become much more practical to use. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 becomes more relevant to use even when it is closed.

The external screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is practical // Source: Frandroid

One example comes to mind: The stopwatch and voice recorder widgets are easy to access on this small screen and they’re handy things to have on hand, without wasting time unfolding the phone. Another use case, you can still take photos with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 when it is closed by using the external panel for the camera return. Now, however, it is possible to switch from one sensor to another and also to go to video mode with a swipe of the finger up or to the side. Note also that the definition of the small panel is 260 x 512 pixels.

For the rest, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 benefits from a Snapdragon 888 and 8 GB of RAM, enough to allow it a good power on a daily basis. For photos, you’ll find two 12-megapixel sensors on the back (wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle) and a 10-megapixel sensor in the internal screen bubble. Regarding autonomy, we can not help but have some fears in view of the 3300 mAh battery which, from what Samsung France told us, supports up to 15 W only on the load (and charger is not supplied).

5G, stereo speakers and Flex Mode are still there. As a reminder, this last option allows you to use the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in a seated position by dividing the screen in two.

In the camera for example, you will see the preview on the upper half and the buttons on the lower half.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 therefore comes above all to refine the design to make it more modern and pleasant while offering a better external screen. All of this is also wrapped up in better protections to reassure customers.

Folding smartphones for everyone soon?

However, to attract users, it is also necessary to be attractive in terms of price. The folding smartphone cannot yet boast of having a good quality / price ratio, but by launching at 500 euros less than its predecessor, it is taking a serious step forward to accelerate democratization. We’re not there yet, but we’re getting closer.

Various colors of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 // Source: Frandroid

For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 cost as much as the Galaxy S21 + when it was released. It will not be the day before that we will see them everywhere, but the chances of meeting a nice commercial success, all things considered, are not to be taken lightly.

Not yet under 1000 euros

It is therefore necessary to count on a recommended price of 1059 euros for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with 128 GB of storage and 1109 euros for the one with 256 GB of storage. Pre-orders (charge pack offered) begin on August 11 and last until August 26. August 27 will mark the commercial launch of the smartphone.

In an economic situation burdened by the health crisis linked to Covid-19, the recruitment of Argentine striker Lionel Messi by Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG), heavily in deficit and with an already large payroll, testifies to the weaknesses of the regulation of the finances of football clubs, argues Jean-François Brocard, lecturer at the Center for Sports Law and Economics at the University of Limoges.

The recruitment of Lionel Messi by PSG, in addition to other hires made in recent weeks, raises questions about the effectiveness of the rules of good management in football. Is financial fair play, instituted by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) still useful?

Financial fair play was an evolution, even a revolution, in the management of clubs. It is today undermined, both by the decision of the judicial bodies in Europe – it is often challenged either by the Court of Arbitration for Sport or by the European Court of Justice – but also by reluctance of some clubs.

The Covid-19 has dealt a further blow to the ability and willingness to regulate clubs. Financial fair play has been relaxed, and we even wonder if it still exists. To what extent, tomorrow, will UEFA be able to say: “We’re back to the starting rules”? The various authorities want to save the clubs by telling themselves that, ultimately, we will see later how to develop a sustainable management.

Does the situation particularly benefit clubs like PSG or Manchester City?

This is the whole problem of financial fair play. UEFA’s will at the time [en 2010] was to ensure financial “good management” – although it is not clear what the expression refers to, other than to avoid regular operating deficits without preventing investors from putting in money. money in football. UEFA had found more or less a way to aim for these two objectives.

With the Covid, authorities no longer have a choice: they are forced to accept the new money that may arrive. However, this comes mainly from countries which were not too affected by the pandemic, in this case those of the Gulf.

Clubs are service companies, which primarily use labor to produce. The main burden is the salary. As long as there are no homogeneous rules at European level – even worldwide – on the wage bill and that there will be formations, as the PSG does today, which will be able to spend astronomical sums, the clubs there will be fierce competition for wages and transfers.

Asian airports continue to be popular with travelers. Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle comes in 15th place.

It took him seven years to get to the top. Inaugurated in 2014, Hamad airport in Doha, the capital of Qatar, has just been named the best airport in the world by the British organization Skytrax, a benchmark in the field. “The rise of Doha coincides with the hard work of its flagship airline, Qatar Airways. The Qatari government has invested heavily in both its national airline and its airport, with quite spectacular results,” CNN said. Obviously, travelers were sensitive to the services offered to Qatar Airways passengers passing through this airport (free city tours, free accommodation and meals, VIP service). Cleanliness, waiting time at security check, ease of access to the airport, comfort … The other criteria used also weighed in the balance.

At the top of the ranking for almost a decade, Singapore’s Changi Airport is this time relegated to third position. This year again, Asian airports monopolize most of the first places. With Haneda and Narita (in Tokyo) and Kansai (in Osaka), Japan even allows itself to place three airports in the top 10. The international airport of Seoul, the South Korean capital, comes in 5th position.
